From the shadows, a dark crusader rises – the T-1000 Gotham – an enigmatic operator with a body so muscular that the bad guys scamper off frightened; and with a stamina of such superhero proportions, it can keep working day after day after day, night after night, for an incredible 40 days before needing to be wound up again.

An amazing SIX mainspring barrels endow the T-1000 Gotham with a world-record 1,000 hour power reserve, generated by an over-sized winding lever integrated into the back of the case, made from natural and blackened titanium.

The case may be tank-like in appearance but the chiseled exterior belies the complexity of what’s housed within – intricate mechanics evoking a high-performance sports car and which turn the distinctive vertical roller-borne hour and minute indications.

The T-1000 Gotham is a limited edition of 25 pieces available in two different combinations of natural and blackened titanium, with a choice of black, gold, red, blue or purple movement.

Inspired by the cult manga super robot Goldorak – a.k.a Grendizer – the T-1000 Goldorak features a three-dimensional golden movement that makes the T-1000’s iconic roller-borne hour and minute indications and inclined escapement stand out in all their glory.

The gilded movement exquisitely brings out the intricate detail of the 39° inclined balance, escapement, ratchet and gear train, all highly visible with the open movement architecture.

Six mainspring barrels provide the T-1000 with a mind-blowing 1,000-hour power reserve. In a patented system of energy distribution, the six barrels are wound by two finely-engineered chains.

The chains are also instrumental in transmitting power of the barrels – both in parallel and in series (2 x 3) –with optimized torque and power to the regulator. The immense power is generated by an oversized winding lever contained within the case that allows around 10 times as much winding force to be applied than a normal winding mechanism. And makes winding an easy pleasure.

The gleaming movement contrasts superbly with the sleek black DLC titanium case, its shaped flanks providing a hint of the complex mechanics underneath. A window in the side of the case reveals one of the mainspring barrels with markers to provide a natural power reserve indicator.

The Goldorak T-1000 is available in a very exclusive limited edition of just five pieces.
